Purpose-driven video production that’s good for the planet

Watch a short introduction to our partnership with Carbon Kapture

Planet positive video production with Majestical

How do you fancy tackling your carbon footprint and helping achieve decarbonisation 30 times quicker than reforestation?

We invite you to participate in our purpose-driven video production #ReelKind pledge by trapping and locking away carbon through a global network of seaweed farms.

Sound fishy?

Yeah, the thought crossed our minds. Surely, one of those too-good-to-be-true campaigns. But no. It’s 100% real, kind to the environment, highly inventive. We’d love to rope you in (and we kind of already know you share our values because you’re still here!)

How are you being roped in?

Every newly commissioned bespoke project or partnership is being roped in to help fight climate change in a truly innovative and creative way.

Deep dive into a nature-based adventure

As part of your video production or animation project, we’ll sponsor a carbon collecting seaweed rope on behalf of you or your organisation.

Imagine what a difference you’ll make for our planet?!

You’ll gain a certificate and regular video updates from the seaweed farm detailing your impact – a worthy reason to issue a local press release and create a massive reduction in your carbon footprint.

Want to be roped in too?

What’s the deal with the seaweed?

We’re as happy as clams to announce that Majestical is supporting Chief Kelper, Howard Gunstock from Carbon Kapture, to suck up CO₂ from the world’s oceans.

Help create a circular economy in a coastal community

Howard began innovating in the climate change space several years ago and after dedicating everything to his revolutionary salty idea, he was ready to share it with the world. Howard's approach is simple: harnessing seaweed’s fast-growing, carbon sequestration features to extract CO₂ and achieve decarbonisation 30 times quicker than reforestation.

After absorbing CO₂ in the ocean, the seaweed is dried and the CO₂ trapped. This process is called pyrolysis and once complete, the seaweed is donated to farmers as fertiliser to nourish their soil for crops. It’s ingenious!

To be honest, Howard’s roped us in before to help create video content for his ambitious and imaginative ‘hackathon’ project. He’s an inspiring guy, so we jumped at the chance to be part of the next revolution in creating positive climate impact.

Are you with us?

Why seaweed?

As if the 30 times quicker decarbonisation stat isn’t enough, you’re asking for more reasons to thumbs up the seaweed?

Well, did you know that there are nine times more seaweeds in the oceans than plants on the land? No wonder sea flora produces around 70% of the world’s oxygen. The slippery creepers are incredible!

As well as absorbing carbon dioxide from the water, seaweeds absorb excess toxins such as organic chemicals and heavy metals. Marine algae are an integral part of underwater ecosystems providing a vital food source and habitat for aquatic wildlife. Seaweeds also support life above the water cultivated for human and animal feed consumption, fertiliser, medicines and makeup.

Will you ever look at green eyeshadow in the same way?!

Why planet-positive video production is so important to us

To put it simply, it’s the right thing to do.

People need to know about innovative ways to fight climate change and bring positive impact. We could achieve so much more if only we knew about different ways to act. Thanks to the incredible work being done by organisations like The Better Business Act and B-Corp, it's a topic increasingly becoming a global strategy for businesses and individuals.

As one of the first video production companies in Cheshire to start their B-Corp journey, it’ll come as no surprise to know that taking care of our planet is a top priority.

In 2021, we subscribed to Ecologi to offset employee impact and, so far, have funded over 400 trees. That’s huge, but we wanted to find another solution to increase the climate-positive impact for our wider community.

Then Carbon Kapture came along, and we realised we could achieve more by involving all our wonderful clients.

The ocean has always had a place in our hearts

In 2009, Katie dived into the cold waters of the English Channel as part of a relay team swimming the gap to raise money for Diabetes UK. Fortunately she managed to avoid the jellyfish during her time in the water, although the two stones she collected from the French shore remain a fond reminder of her achievement.

(And Hank the octopus is part of the office décor, comfortably nestled by her iMac overseeing project work!)

Rachel is a member of UK for Good, the Marine Conservation Society and she’s forever roping Katie into campaigns and events based on land and in the sea (Katie’s sure the sky will be on the cards soon!).

Katie and Rachel also rope their families into attending Cheshire Wildlife Trust events, many of which are close to local bodies of water.

That’s a planet-positive team if ever you saw one!

How our purpose-driven video production works

Working with Majestical is simple. You can do your bit for the environment and reduce your carbon impact at the same time – now there’s a reason to invest in planet-positive video production 😉

When you sign up to work with us, you’re roped in automatically. The best part is you don’t have to do a thing! No complicated terms to read. No bamboozling lingo to get your head around. And no additional work, money or time commitments for you to expend.

We do it all for you.

Once your video production or animation project is complete, you’ll receive a swish seaweed certificate from Carbon Kapture to confirm your support in decarbonisation. Well, the certificate is not actually made from seaweed, but wouldn’t it be cool if it was?! 🧐
