Grant funding success leads to newly refurbished lake opening

Our LQA mini-documentary that played a crucial part in the successful Veolia Environmental Trust grant submission.

historical stories carve out new future

Back in March we were thrilled to see work on the new lake at the Lovell Quinta Arboretum begin. Tatton Garden Society Marketing Manager Sara Walker told us:

“Work on our lake is underway. It started on 27 March and will last around three weeks, restoring this much-loved feature of the Arboretum. Funding was thanks to The Veolia Environmental Trust. We hope the new lake will be a sanctuary for wildlife and an asset to the local community”

Of course a large part of our excitement comes from the fact that one of our films was instrumental in the LQA’s successful Veolia Environmental Trust grant application.

It’s wonderfully reassuring to know that this lake project has secured the historical footprint of Sir Bernard Lovell and the future of this rural habitat.

charity success creates new opportunities

The Arboretum is home to a colourful range of around 2,500 different plants including snowdrops, crocus and daffodils in the spring as well as trees and shrubs. A tranquil place of grassy walks and leafy arbours, the Arboretum attracts a wide variety of wildlife and makes the perfect destination for a family outing or a quiet walk.

The newly refurbished lake will give visitors of two, four, and maybe even more legged varieties the chance to seek out and immerse their senses in many new environments and habitats.

honoured with historic invitation

To have been able to create an historical mini documentary that helped the LQA win their grant and successfully complete their lake refurbishment is extremely fulfilling for our team.

But that’s not all, Chief Dreamer Katie was also privileged to have received this email from the Tatton Garden Society in September:

“We’re having our official lake opening event, and we’re keen for you to be invited as your film was so instrumental in helping us get the grant. It would be lovely if you could pop in!”

This kind of success is what drives us to find more and more opportunities to exercise our creativity in ways that will continue to inspire positive change in the people and places around us. And of course we’re very much looking forward to donning our wellies and popping down to the lake opening too!

As a team we exist to create opportunities. And in recent years we’ve been fortunate enough to truly start realising that vision through our growing portfolio of creative work with many UK charities
