Disability Positive PA service explainer video

As a charity who offers many many services to disabled people across the UK, Disability Positive recognised that they weren’t yet fully answering all of the questions their website visitors had.

And so, they wanted to bring to life some of their service offerings through film, starting with this story about taking direct payments and employing a personal assistant.

We spent a couple of days filming with two families in a documentary style approach to create this charity explainer video. We carried out a number of informal interviews, encouraging our interviewees to really open up about their thoughts and feelings. We also spent some time capturing supplementary footage to really bring these stories to life in as real a way as we possibly could.

By sharing these personal experiences with wider audiences across social media, on the charity website and during presentations, we’ve successfully created a film that will hopefully serve to inspire others for many years to come.

The language and imagery in the video we create reflects the audience's values and beliefs. This alignment creates a sense of trust and increases the likelihood that viewers will support the cause. 

We use strong, evocative language that the charity’s audience can relate to and visuals that paint a clear picture of the impact of their contribution. For example

  • Are the viewers motivated by community and service? If so, we would highlight collaborative efforts in the video.

  • Do they value innovation and efficiency? We would show how your charity uses cutting-edge methods to solve problems.

  • Is environmental conservation a common thread? At Majestical, this is already something very close to our hearts, so we would use visuals that showcase the beauty and fragility of nature.
